Jenin was and is a breeding ground for suicide bombers. Terrorist organizations enjoy widespread support there. A great number of the rash of deadly terrorist attacks on Israel in weeks leading up to Sharon's attack originated in Jenin. The fact that there have been far fewer murderous acts against innocent civilians shows that the attack on Jenin and other West Bank towns was and is at least partially successful.

Let's be serious. If we were under daily attacks from terrorist bombers coming from a neighboring nation, we would do exactly what Israel is doing to stamp out the terrorist cells. Period. Israel has been under attack like this for over 50 years. They've lost the equivelent of 7 WTC's in people lost. They have every right to go in and get the bad guys.
