I think it is more ethical to use civilians as shields than targets
Bowser, if I was in a battle and if I could use civilian hostiles to keep my unit's losses low, I would.
If the Israelis did, too bad.
Maybe the Palestinians used as shields will discourage their buddies from going into Pizza shops and stores and blowing up civilian kids.
As for the ambulances, the Pals have used them to transport bombers and attackers.
In the midst of a battle, the military is going to cover its ass first.
Again, my position is that the Palestinians have a legitimate claim that they have prosecuted illegitamately.
