Re: Diesel Hybrid
Buy a truck. That option will always be available. Problem is if you have two different vehicles travelling at the same speed, the heavier truck will have more kinetic energy. It will either burn more fuel to get up to speed, or it will accelerate slower. If you can't handle being passed by every other car on the road, and people honking their horns and yelling "get off the road slowpoke", then you probably would opt for normal acceleration, meaning a bigger engine with higher fuel consumption.
I am wondering what the performance of a minivan would be if it had a diesel hybrid powerplant, a magnesium frame and carbon-composite body panels. Might be good. Dunno.
