It may surprise you to know...

...that a lot of Democrats don't seek ill things to say about our fearless leader. Those like me never wanted nor intended any Enron investigations to be witch-hunts. In my opinion, the investigations have provided good information which is being translated into legislation (hopefully good legislation) to keep this BS from happening again. In my opinion, the investigations have been, and continue to be, a resounding success.

By BS, I mean a list of really bad things that Enron was in the center of but did not necessarily cause. A few examples:

- Illegal manipulation of energy markets.
- Stinking bookeeping that caused investors to lose their shirts.
- That nasty bit that froze their employees money in their 401k funds, preventing them from selling.
- The traditional paper-shreddings.
- Anderson's severe breach of faith (Wall Street pretty much runs on faith in accurate audit information. If you want to see a real market melt-down, just have another big accounting firm get caught in a scandal like this one.).
- The revelations (for me, anyway; I was pretty ignorant about this one.) that brokers reccommendations were really only good for determining which companies the brokers were doing business with.
- Etc. If I had more time, I'm sure I could think of more.

The fact that you want to keep your head shoulders-deep in the sand on this stuff is not helpful.
