Now, Tom. Do you think the Israelis could stop this just by living up to the agreements they have signed? I mean, is there an Israeli action which might lead to these heinous acts?
Or are the Israelis complete victims, helpless in the face of the unprovoked determination of these people who just hate them and have no other reason to die as suicide bombers? Maybe they just envy the Israelis their SUVs, their homes, their freedom?
How many of those 50 civilians in Nablus were combatants? None. Killed along with 25 people shooting light weapons at the Israelis. One IDF person dead. What does a slaughter look like? Would protesting this with an attack on the other guy's civilians be something an attacked people might do?
How does that compare to one Palestinian and two Israelis? Where's the outrage?
Do you suppose the tanks are still rolling through Bethlehem? The settlements are still abuilding?
You're umbrage at a suicide bomber is well taken. Shouldn't happen. Is there such a thing as fair? Is combating ethnic cleansing a noble activity? Is protesting racial discrimination always pretty? How would you suggest they do things?
I mean, the invasion of Palestinian land has been going on for a long, long time. What can they do about it, or should they just lay down and die?
Do you have the courage to tell these people they should not protest the fact their homeland is being taken in spite of international agreements?
I mean, does an invading force sort of invite retaliation? Would you retaliate?
And how would you do it? I mean, how would you fight an invading army, and invading people, when you weren't allowed an army, armor, artillery, helicopters?
Do you think the Israelis could stop this just by obeying the international agreements they signed?
Or is it not an invasion? Is it just "constructing buildings on land no one wants"? What would an invasion look like?
