He didn't live in that era where all those dirty deeds were done by Pappy's administration (who now still sit or have been re-appointed to THIS administration......ooh, the Sins of the Father...).
The CIA is corrupt and has corrupted some of it's fellow-cronies in the FBI. It's the other hand scratching the back.
ANYONE who messes with their plans and becomes a wart on their nose or a fly in their soup, is easily managed by any number of means.
True, I look for the gallant white knights who still understand about Truth and Justice for all.
