Thinking about it. In plain sight things were happening.
Realizing there is a lot of background noise, a lot of information, it seems to me there is some which would deserve follow-up. I don't know that WTC could have been stopped. And, the public deserves some explanation, and some assurances the people who allowed the system to fail aren't the only ones trying to reorganize it. I'm assuming they did their best.

Some of the WTC terrorists were known to authorities as terrorists.

Some known to be incountry.

Some of those were known to be learning to fly large airplanes.

There had been warnings from both FBI agents and from flight school operators.

There had been general intelligenc warnings.

And knowledge of this information was withheld from the American people until whistle-blowers started leaking it. Both before and after the fact.

What ever happened to accountability? Responsibility? To having a "watch"? Having a job for which they are getting paid.

But, as I've said, the FBI hasn't held it's people accountable for a long, long time. And I'm afraid it's in the culture. As the woman said, when your first duty is to cover your ass, everything else, including your job, is secondary.

We aren't going to get it, but there needs to be a real shake-up. No one has been accountable there for a long, long time.
