It's odd how people can worry about some remote risks and ignore others. Automobile drivers routinely ignore the fact that they are driving around at high speed with many gallons of liquid high explosive sloshing around under their butts.
The bit about the executive blowing the whistle on a nuclear power group and then dying in a plane explosion is news to me. I have never heard of this before, and unless you can find some valid links I would think it was apocryphal.
Three Mile Island injured no one. Athough hordes of lawyers attempted to link every two-headed calf in the nation to this accident, links between various ailments and the tiny amount of radiation released were never proven.
Chernobyl was a crappy Soviet-constructed power plant that did not even have a containment building.
I was not familiar with Dounreay, which apparently is a reprocessing facility in Scotland that has been closed and facing a large and expensive cleanup process. I did not find any references to nuclear accidents there, or any injuries specifically related to its operation. If you have more detailed info, it would be appreciated.
