The Golden Gate Bridge! That's terrifying, actually. I don't know if it's "do-able", what size the piers are. I'd imagine it would take tons and tons and tons of stuff placed just right. Better stuff than diesel fuel and ammonium nitrate.

Wonder what would happen if you could get at the cables. Maybe chemically. Would the bridge fall down?

I didn't do it, didn't know who did it, didn't want to know who did it, but someone in my high school and college town cut down a radio station tower. They whacked off one set of cables, it could have fallen, as there were 4.

It didn't. They went to work on the second set, and when they were most of the way through it fell.

I have to admit I thought it was funnier than hell, sorta wished I'd thought of it, glad I hadn't. Kinda admired them.

But the Golden Gate. For a terrorist that would be a helluva target. Large, symbolic, expensive. I wonder what it would cost to build it today? I hope the right people are watching it.
