I hope when the hatchetmen are coming they'll walk past you and your department. The same is true in Qwest where the axe is being yielded - they are actually HIRING folks for the "money-making" departments. Its usually upper and mid-level managers who are cleaning out there desks first.

I know some folks who knew Nacchio (Qwest's former ousted CEO who sold 130 million worth of stock)..and when he left after being forced by the board to resign...he reportedly uttered "suckers!" as he waltzed out of the board room.

Sweet, eh?
