Not an excuse anymore.

(Used to see purple tracers, too. Was told they were from ammunition made in Eastern Europe. Didn't like them, either.)

1 - There were no friendlies reportedly taking fire. This was not a "hot"situation. The "anti-aircraft" fire was small arms.

2 - It keeps happening. Over and over. I'm reading of more Afghan civilians being killed than enemy. Clearly the US troops are incompetent, careless or don't care.

3 - The British just said, in a dramatic statement, that the Americans don't care. They shoot first and check later. They added that's a mistake if you want continuing cooperation from the people, that one might want to choose their targets.

4 - These people are humans, too. Civilians, innocent, and they love each other. They will hate the people who killed their loved ones as much as you or I would. It will not be envy if they support an attack against us. And we will be wondering why they don't like a nice nation like us.

5 - Repeatedly killing civilians in an effort to free them and stamp out terrorism is considered bad form by civilized people. Over time, killing more innocent civilians than enemy combatants is considered poor form, too. By civilized people. And not caring is considered unacceptable even by some pretty bad people.
