Well, the superfund cleans up a bunch of stuff which was left behind because handling it properly would have cost money.
Now, if you have your choice of cleaning up a toxic mess which will sicken and kill men, women and children, your own citizens, or increasing profits for CEOs which would GWB choose? Which has he chosen?
"Compassionate conservatism" (and the Bush administration) is very charitable and compassionate to the CEO's who will do anything and nothing to increase their perks.
