It's waste and the hell with people?

You say that everything the government does is waste. Except the gas in the execution chambers and bullets. In the hands of the armed forces.

These sites are the result of your unrestrained capitalism.

They are enduring examples of the folly of your argument that capitalism unrestrained is responsible. (And yet you will insist again, somewhere, sometime, that unrestrained capitalism is responsible.)

The statement "The Superfund was wasteful so we won't clean these sites" means "we won't clean them".

They are dangerous to people. To not clean them is to say the hell with people. To not clean them is to say that a companies dividends, profits and the perks for the CEOs are more important than being responsible.

If it is expensive, private companies were generating profits to clean them.

The Superfund did clean sites, people are healthier. I am personally aware of two, and I haven't followed them at all. They did clean sites. Sorry, Charlie, they did clean sites.

Why some people love money and hate people is beyond me. Maybe it's because they don't know the people. But then the money isn't theirs, either. Go figure!
