<Global warming is a fact to liberals, while it's a myth to conservatives. Nothing to it.
That statement smacks of political dogma rather than anything scientific. The climate has been warming and cooling all on its own for millions of years. There's strong evidence to suggest that it's warming once again. Most conservatives recognize this even as they also acknowledge that there is some interesting data to the contrary.
However, your expressing your opinion in political terms is a bone of contention. As you stated, liberals see global warming as fact, but they also see as fact that humans are responsible. To all too many of them, "global warming" and human activity are one and the same. Sorry, but the scientific proof of that is lacking. Statements like yours remind me of the ancient priests who wanted to burn Galileo at the stake for daring to question the orthodox view that the Earth was the center of the universe. To hell with facts, we have dogma to defend!
Science done properly seeks evidence to base a hypothesis upon and then subjects the hypothesis to extensive testing before it becomes an accepted theory. A computer model doesn't take the place of the scientific process. As a software engineer, I know that models are only as good as their fundamental understanding of the subject being modeled. There are just too many holes in the understanding of climate change to accurately predict anything 100 years out.
