According to this report that I linked last week, a Canadian sniper is credited with a center-mass chest kill shot from 2400 meters. That beats the old record of 2250 meters by a Marine sniper during the Vietnam war.

It sure sounds to me that Canadian snipers are doing excellent work, and I'm grateful. The reported squemishness about reporting the simple fact that Canadian soldiers are killing people shows how far from Patton's dictate so many politicians are, probably due to the fact that so few politicians have military experience.

"You don't win wars by dying for your country. You win wars by making the other poor bastard die for HIS country."

- Credited to Patton, but I don't know if he actually said it.
