I'm all for making the faux off-shore companies pay the taxes. It levels the playing field.
Along these lines I oppose sneaky tax methods like payroll deduction. If people had to come up with all their taxes on 15 April, there'd be lots more interest from citizens in the cost of government. Remember this started out in the early 1900s as a 1% tax only on the wealthiest. Now, we dream up new "entitlements" every election. Curiously, the group to be entitled votes for the pols who take money from wealth producers to "give" to the newly entitled. Go figure.
