The seeds of WWII in the mistakes of settling WWI.
We may look back and decide that the seeds of WWIII were planted in the mistake of imposing Israel on the Middle East.
The history of the area is replete with Zionists killing and getting killed, and each side killing civilians.
That the occupation, and its resistance, has been brutal is unarguable.
That the Palestinians, in choosing to respond with deliberate acts of targeting civilians, has long delayed settling the conflict without great blood loss by their side is tragic.
That Israel, in using a military occupation has made the bad situation worse, and has nearly guaranteed the current suicide strategy is tragic as well.
Frankly I still wish a surprise asteroid would flatten the whole region.
