Libertarianism = raw greed?

Leftist psychological projection? Is it possible that leftists are convinced that a society based on freedom and self-responsibility would result in mass looting, crime, and abuse because under those circumstances, it's exactly what they would do?

How long is "very long"? 10 years? 100 years? 200 years? 226 years?

Good question. I wish I knew. We have really only started pumping socialism, massive government regulation, and wealth redistribution into this nation for about 70 years, and only in a big way since about the 1960s. I am pleased that we have lasted this long, and it says a lot for the American character.
