Sometimes, the Press doesn't even make an effort to get the facts straight.

Remember the recent incident where two airline pilots allegedly tried to fly an airliner after drinking (I say alleged only because their case is still in the court system. They failed the breathe test so their careers are not only over, they may be facing jail time.)

Anyway, it turns out there was quite a bit of inaccurate reporting on that incident. We were told the pilots had taxied the plane out to the runway and were about to take off. Well, not quite. The plane had been pushed back from the gate before immediately being pushed back. It seems Connie Chung was particularly one sided in her coverage, not even bothering to listen to the answers to her questions. Further, her grilling of a representative from the US Pilots Association was particularly inept. USPA is a grassroots general aviation organization that has nothing to do with airliners. She should've been talking to the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA).

Is this a big deal? Well, perhaps. Is this any indication of CNN's and Chung's accuracy in reporting other things? If they're so sloppy and inaccurate on this story, what makes me believe they're any more accurate on other stories?
