That's a possibility Larry, many of the tires were still purchased in California, when I lived there. I will check and see what letter my remaining tires
The intense heat and dryness probably contribute a lot to the deterioration of tires and other rubber out here. It's the nation's extreme testing ground.
From now on I will have to specify the tires with the little pitchfork emblem - "Tested in Hades - Seal of Approval."
