You speak as if such barbaric practices in Saudi Arabia and other Muslim societies were somehow worthy of respect or accomodation. They're not. Are we also to "respect" the practice of many Sudanese Muslims of practicing slavery? Of course not. The sooner these primitive variants of Islamic practice are modernized, such as what we see in the more advanced Muslim society of Turkey for instance, the better off the entire world will be.
