It seems evidence from deep ocean temperature measurements dating back to 1955 and data from the TOPEX/Poseidon satellite indicate that sea level around Tavalu has dropped by 4 inches over the past 50 years, according to this article. Of course, when has actual scientific data ever counted in a US courtroom?
