It's not their fault
They are a liberal beast of our making. After WWII, we pretty much castrated Germany. About the only people allowed into government positions were leftists and communists. We totally broke the back and spirit of a great and proud people, in effect turning them into Frenchmen. In my opinion we should have stayed truly neutral in that war and let the Germans take care of business in the East.
