911 was the highwater mark (so far) of an eight year campaign.
The campaign started with WTC I.
It continued sporadically throughout the 90's.
We have finally responded.
We may have disrupted AQ sufficiently that they are as a group ineffective, but the idea of terror-style attacks is very romantic in a perverse way.
