I am highly amused at those people who are screaming about how pathetic and ineffective our intelligence organizations were when it came to stopping the 9-11 attacks, while simultaneously bitching about civil rights of suspects being violated, along with any efforts being made to find terrorists and stop them using proven intelligence techniques.

In other words, demanding omniscience without the ability to actually do anything in the way of surveillance.

Please pick one and run with it.

If you demand that there be massive coordination between all sources of intelligence and all enforcement agencies to prevent the ball being dropped like it was before, then shut up when they start doing it.

If you would prefer less surveillance, less oversight, and less of Big Brother in a free nation, shut up when we miss something and lose a couple of buildings now and then.
