Is how to be a good guy WITHIN the law.

Y'see, for a democracy to work there needs to be a bunch of things. One of them is universal education. Another is a free press, something we don't have in regard to the Middle East, with everything censored by Israel.

The third is LIMITED SECRETS. No secret police, very, very limited secret courts. Very limited, and those with public results. (Bush wants a secret police, too. Believe it or not.)

Y'see, what is more dangerous than any external enemy are any but a few secrets. Those destroy a democracy faster than anything outside the borders.

Now, watch, and see if we don't see the "either-or" syndrome so loved by conservatives. Either we have everything secret, or we tell 'em everything. "Do you want to tell OBL and Saddam everything, you commie pinko" will be the refrain.

More clap and trap. No sense destroying a democracy trying to protect freedom.
