Life is short,
Art long,
Opportunity fleeting,
Experience treacherous,
Judgement difficult.

It is regrettable, but perhaps unavoidable, that my posts here about 911 arouse passions in others. These are contentious issues about a national tragedy which at least one writer has characterized as one of the most significant events in the history of mankind.

Still, it's important to keep talking, and in that spirit, I regret it if my attempts to shed light on this issue result in too much heat.

In the half-century plus that I've been on this planet, Black Tuesday is without question the single most shocking and horrifying thing I've witnessed. In the wake of this national calamity, Americans of all stripes closed ranks, and rallied 'round Old Glory. Never doubt that I am among them.

This nation belongs to the people. For the people to make wise decisions about the future of our country, we need not only the right information, but also the true information.

There are serious questions about 911 that have not been answered, and some that have not been asked. As an American citizen, I feel that it is not only my right to raise these issues, it is my obligation.

The pen, they say, is mightier than the sword.

We shall see.

Peace,
