A wise man once told me...

...never shine your headlamps on a defecating dog.

This liberal lawyer and his claims of a "Federalist Cabal" making US soldiers guilty of violating the Geneva conventions is a fine specimen of pooch excrement.

We linked the nation's governmet (Taleban) to Al Qaida and by supporting Al Qaida they condemned themselves to the dustbin of history.

Saddam's links to terror are blatantly obvious (gratuities to martyred suicide bombers families) to completely hidden (the underground pipeline of funds to islamic terror groups including Al Qaida)

When Saddam meets Bin Laden, as his former lover claims, are we to think that the talk is about improving Iraqi education? No, the talk is about funding terror with oil money.

If Bush was chatting with someone who has blown up Windsor Palace, are we to expect that Bush is not sympathetic to this persons views?

Bush doesn't reveal a tenth of what is known because doing so would jeopardize the people involved and also put Saddam on alert.

That congressmen and lawyers (little difference) can't figure this out is not surprising - that no one takes them to task for demanding classified information is even more shocking.

As for private briefings - these guys are infiltrated by the enemy (heck often they ARE the enemy). Their aides, staff and hangers on are usually folks much like Bowser - they have an axe to grind. They spend more time on the phone with reporters than they do their families (if they have any). They leak like a sieve, actively supporting the enemy and jeopardizing our people.

So no one's going to tell Gephardt or Daschle diddly-squat.

Thank goodness.
