HIstorical precedent

Daddy WarBush invaded the sovereign nation of Panama because he didn't like one of his former paid operatives, Manuel Noreiga. (Anyone notice how much safer the world is since then? Go ahead, make up something.)

Daddy WarBush regarded the US military as his own private army to carry out grudge warfare.

Moving on, within the last couple of days Daddy WarBush was quoted as saying he hates Saddam.

So, the logical next step. Kill two birds with one stone. Get rid of Saddam for Daddy, and get oil to pay Baby's vig.

BUT WE LOVE, JUST LOVE, DEMOCRACY. The Iraqis DESERVE a democracy.

Maybe we don't quite love democracy as much as oil.

Baby WarBush was working to overthrow the democracy and install a military dictatorship in Venezuela earlier this year, even while lecturing Castro on being the only dictatorship in the Western hemisphere. (Venezuela has oil.)

So, put it all together and it spells w a r . The hell with the innocent Americans and Iraqis killed, keep Daddy happy and pay the vig.

Tragic use of a wonderful nation and it's kids. Tragic slaughter of people in the Middle East. And that's the best that can happen.

The worst - a Pandora's Box. What if Saddam has planted bio-chemical weapons around every major US city as a sort of Doomsday Machine? Can you be sure YOUR city is not planted with those things, just waiting to see if Bush attacks? Are you and your family safe?

Is upsetting the status quo worth, say, 4 million dead Americans?

I don't know that Saddam could or would do that. But the sabers have been rattling long enough for him to think about it, the US has been threatening him long enough to do it if he were.

And it could be that even without a signal, if Saddam were taken out by force, the containers could rot away one by one and let fly with whatever he may have put in them. A proper Doomsday Machine.

I hope none of this comes about! Especially for the reasons mentioined, Daddy and oil. Ain't worth the chance, since if he's left alone he wouldn't dare do anything at all. Ever.

That's one thing Bush has done well, scared the bejesus out of him!
