Most in the Middle East would love to be rid of Sadam once and for all, they just don't want to appear as lap dogs to the United States and that is very understandable.
Why many Europeans seem to be in bed with the lunatic is another question. It might be a similair situation to Cuba: The United States embargos while European business interests step in, fill the void, and make lots of money.
Maybe Bowser is right, its all about oil...Only its not Bush and Cheney who want the oil: Its the Europeans.
