Not only are you wrong, but you are also very poor at constructing analogies.
I can think of several cases where you would be completely justified for shooting someone who is accross the room drawing a fist... Even if that fist is not going to be used to hit you.
For example, what if the fist was going to be used to hit your six-month old child?
Or to be perfectly blunt...To rape your wife...
