Trooper kills self for failing to stop criminal
A state trooper committed suicide after making a mistake and failing to detain a man who later was involved in a murderous bank robbery.
Because he did not possess the omniscience now demanded of our authorities, the ability to avoid harassing any innocent persons, yet still manage to intercept every criminal, a good man accepted a guilt he didn't have to.
