Speaking of Kuwait oil fires
I saw an interview recently with one of the fire fighters that helped to put out the Kuwait fires.
According to him the Kuwait fields were the best of all worlds for a disaster like that. Low pressure, not much natural gas and compact. They were able to put them out in about 8 months.
He said the Iraq fields are much different. Highest pressure wells in the world, massive natural gas and wide spread. If Sadaam lights them up it will be far, far worse than Kuwait.
If this is correct, we will, no doubt, attempt to secure those fields early on.
Lots of risk for a nation only interested in oil.
