We remember two world wars that caused huge losses and pain and we remember we colonized others, trying to impose our way of life with the best of intentions but failed to understand what the colonized really wanted, so we left them on their own.
We also understand that violence calls violence, hatred calls hatred and the vicious cycle goes on and on with attacks, revenge, attack revenge...just like the Israel-Palestine conflict.
What's interesting is that inspite of great cultural, linguistic and temperament differences, we still wanted to build something together, forcing us to get together.
