Let me tell you another story. Years and years ago one of my daughters came to me with a sad story. I can still picture her.

She was a freshman in high school, and rode a bus to classes. One night I came home.

“Dad, you have to help me!!”

“Sure, what’s going on?”

“I have to stay after school for two weeks and clean school busses, and I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING!!”

“Doesn’t sound right, what happened?

“Patty threw an egg at someone, and I got into trouble!!”

“That’s it?”

“Yes!!” Dripping with indignity!!

“Was it a raw egg?”

“Yes.” A bit more meekly.

“Where did she get the egg?”

“I gave it to her, BUT I DIDN’T THROW IT!!”

“Well, sweetheart, there isn’t anything to do with a raw egg but throw it. I guess you’re stuck.”

True story, and I’d bet the dialogue was very, very close to exactly that.

There isn’t anything for a country like Iraq to do with anthrax and smallpox, etc., except biological warfare. The US didn’t give it to ‘em for biological research.

ASK YOURSELF - Would these be the same weapons the US wants back? The ones the US gave 'em? How much sense does that make?

So, the US cannot take the moral high road with Iraq on that issue. That’s clear to anyone with a sense of morality, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Whose helicopters? US helicopters.

Next, “have you ever been in the reserves, B.?

Inactive. Active service until out, then inactive reserves. Wasn’t a pilot in the active reserves who took off to work on Daddy’s campaign. And, had completed my active obligation. Different, right, than being in the active reserves and taking off? Going AWOL. As did our current President? I never did go AWOL, nor did they ever “lose” me.

And no Purple Heart. Would have extended, was in a part of the action where that was possible, but my replacement got wounded. I figured they were starting to shoot to hit, and the hell with it.
