Offering same day registration to nonresidents of a state for the sole purpose of contributing to a state election is generally considered an illegal act -- which is why the DSA, at DSAUSA.org, stated the Socialists are claiming they are not encouraging fraud, per se. They just seem to want current unregistered residents of Minnesota to register.
The headline, though:
"Send A Student To Minnesota!"
... complete with exclamation point, and the comment:
"Together with YDS, DSA’s Youth Section, we are mobilizing to bring young people to Minnesota."
... speak volumes.
