Cayman Islands, 0

Ireland has no particular army, navy and no nukes. The bigger cities have sewers. Of course its tax rate is low. Same for the Cayman Islands, and innumerable other tax havens. Moving tax liability to these areas eliminates it from the area which generated the wealth.

Some folks want the armies, the navies, the nukes to protect their property. They want the police forces, their competition regulated, other people to pay high wages so more people can afford their products. And, they want someone else to pay for the cops, to pay the high wages, not them. And those folks are revered as capitalists.

It's fair to pay as little in the way of taxes as possible. And who is supposed to support the systems which allow capitalists to make money in the first place? If capitalists pick the corn, and don't plant it, and don't defend the field, who do they count on to do those things?

The Irish?
