Is that too many are confusing their privelages and conveniences for inalienable rights.
The security measures which have been taken are not disruptive of a civil free society. The refusal of so many self-declared lovers of liberty to perceive the real threat - radicals killing and destroying us, is far more dangerous.
The blind acceptance of myths about this war, like war-for-oil or that we should not stop Saddam while he is relatively weak, or that we should atack all opponents and threats equally are far more undermining for liberty than librarians cooperating with FBI or other law enforcement about who may or may not be reading certainl books.
