The media was "salivating" over the sniper being a white extremist? Ex-military being "icing on the cake"?

Well, he is ex-military, he is black and he's a recent convert to Islam.

They got their icing, but no cake and so the results are.....what?

To save time, I'll use Tom's "I bet when..." machine to characterize the media's response.
