Total power is apparently just fine when it's your team. You are correct in pointing out that having 100 percent of all Senators and Congressmen along with the President being Democrats would suit them right down to the ground.
What irks me most about the Democrats is the high-minded bullcrap they spout about concentrations of power, fairness and "balance." Why can't they just be honest and say it's all about them winning and the Republicans losing, and woe betide anything that stands in their way?
Everything the Democrats do is about gaining and keeping power. The more, the better.
There is not one major policy, agenda, piece of legislation, or any other action on their part in Washington that does not have this as its primary goal, and anyone is welcome to try and come up with an exception. No one has so far when I have thrown this challenge out.
The main route is, of course, insuring that the maximum number of voters are in some way dependent on the Federal Government for their livelihood, which not only includes spending on the elderly and social programs, but fat government contracts and many other forms of wealth transfer.
