Re: 'True' Analogy . . . ?

<In an analogy, two objects (or events), A and B are shown to be similar. Then it is argued that since A has property P, so also B must have property P. An analogy fails when the two objects, A and B, are different in a way which affects whether they both have property P.

A = serial killer = Iraq
B = cop = Israel
P = guns = violator of UN resolutions in the Middle East

Is there a list of U.N. violations for Israel? Never personally looked, but the above dies appear to be Tom’s “False Analogy.” I mean, I’ll be among the first to declare there are a number of Israeli activities that are, at the very least, questionable and, at the very most, outright illegal, but the claim Bowser clearly posted was that Israel was in violation of U.N. resolutions placed against them.

Which ones?
