Actually "P" was the possession of nuclear weapons, but you are correct in pointing out that the fallacy applies to the U.N. resolutions as well. We should not forget that simple violation of U.N. resolutions is not the sole factor by which Saddam has been judged as a blight on the planet. I hear he has done one or two other nasty things as well. And regardless of political expediency, the blessing of the U.N. was not morally required as a sanction on our actions against Saddam.
