I'm a registered Democrat who detests socialism, radical environmentalism and sees labor unions as little more than organized greed. So someone chimes in: "Why don't you become a Republican?". Because I dislike the Republican Party even more. If the Republican Party adopted the platform that "P" just described, I'd change parties in a heart beat. Just as the Democratic Party's left wing is hooked on socialism, so is the Republican Party's right wing hooked on stupidity like "Prayer in School", The Abortion Thing, hand gun craziness, etc. Also, why can't either party do anything about Tort reform? The blasted lawyers are sucking us dry. A whole industry has been created based on sueing honest businesses because they don't have wheel chair ramps or do have spotted owls on their property. There needs to be more restricitions against nusiance litigation.
