That's your choice, of course, but much of the material Mr. Griffin recounts here has been reported elsewhere - the ammunition-laden Lusitania,, the concealed step-by-step, minute-by-minute knowledge of the training, deployment and attack foray by Kido Butai, the Japanese carrier strike force, the protection of the Japanese spy at Pearl...
Your summary dismissal of a troubling article because of "too much kook baggage" or because the guy is, as you pronounce, "a right-wing conspiracy nut" is a typical smear tactic, and amounts, once again, to a common and by-now familiar fallacy: the ad hominem attack.
Resorting to such an attack, as you must realize, is tantamount to admitting you cannot find fault with Mr. Griffen's article, and have to resort to finding fault with Mr. Griffin himself.
My suggestion: attack the material Mr. Griffin presents, not Mr. Griffin.
