Re: I feel so -- ‘misinformed’ . . .

But then, you do try to be good at that, don’t you? Propagating misinformation, I mean.

Any particular reason you don’t state that this is a demand from Lahore to produce the detained doctor, who is being held by Pakistan officials?

Any particular reason you fail to mention the Pakistani intelligence agents who handled the doctor’s abduction?

Any particular reason you failed to mention that Pakistani intelligence was assisting the FBI in its search and seizure of al-Qai’da supporters/sympathizers (a charge the Independent shies from, sort of like the good folks at Reuters and the term ‘terrorist’)?

I mean, after all, it’s all right there in the story you posted (thank you for including it with your baseless charge). You see, international terrorism remains an international crime, and one Lahore would be hard-pressed to defend. This is something for international law, not interprovincial debate. And until the U.N. decides to take the bull of international terrorism by the horns, there simply must be a U.S.-led (that term yet again!) police force ready and willing to do the job.

Oh, my, yes. The U.S. is such a bad influence over our dear friends, the military regimes of the world. Maybe we should back off and just let them police themselves, as they have so fairly for centuries. The Taliban of Afghanistan certainly had no internal descent. And look how well folks get along in Kashmir. Yes, we’re so very bad. I’m thinking of vacationing in Chechnya this year.

Why don’t you try reading what you post, and using an analytic practice that employs some knowledge of what’s actually going on in the world? And try looking at the world as a whole, not as the U.S. being unfair to her enemies. It might be a lot quieter around here when you have less U.S.-gripe to air.

...ever doubtful...
