There are allegedly two reasons for the 'editing'
1) to remove the specific details of any instructions on how to create a particular weapon of mass destruction
2) to 'xxxx' out the specific names of corporations that provided materials to Iraq.
In both cases, this is pointless and stupid, in my opinion. Specific instructions on how to build such-and-such a bomb are readily available to anyone with the brains to know where to look, and if Company XYZ happened to sell a certain chemical to Iraq, why on earth shouldn't that company be held to account, and explain that sale??
