I don't know the solution. But I do know that the first step in problem solving is problem recognition, and I think we all could ask ourselves: how could there ever be peace with so many weapons on the planet?
Not many are aware of the fact that when Ike gave his famous warning about the Military-Industrial complex in his Farewell Address, only a last-minute change deleted mention of the role of Congress in this "complex."
In other words, President Eisenhower had orginally drafted his address to include a warning against the "Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex."

If man is to survive on this planet, someday he must evolve from weapons-maker and warrior into something else.
Someday soon.
The trick, I suppose, is to find the profits of peace. Most of us would agree that peace is its own reward, but we need to show that it can also be profitable.
Since warfare has been a constant feature of the modern landscape, I wonder if mankind will ever get the opportunity to...
"...give peace a chance."
