The best war journalists will go to the front. This is widely known, and has been practiced by journalists from combatant nations with a tradition of a free press for a long time.

There are always casualties. They deserve all the honor of other combat casualties. They volunteer to serve. The enemies they go to fight are ignorance and anonymity.
