Sorry, but the Left has a much more consistent record of lying.
They have to.
It's my first assumption on anything they put out, and I usually have no reason to change my view when all the facts come in.
From the car magazine article:
Romney's schoolmates -- even those who resented his bankruptcy stance and disagree with his politics -- remember him fondly and praise his character. "I'm a Democrat, so I won't vote for him," says [Phillip] Maxwell. "But he'd probably make a pretty good president. He's very smart, very principled."
With his powerful father, "He could have been an arrogant, stuck-up, snotty little brat," says Dearth. "But he was a great guy -- an all-American kid with a great sense of humor, very self-effacing." And although it's been documented that Romney played a teenage prank or two -- including once impersonating a police officer in order to scare some female friends -- Dearth remembers Mitt as the most straitlaced kid in the neighborhood.
From the article Buck quoted:
And another classmate, Phillip Maxwell, who witnessed the hair-cutting incident, told CBS today: “Mitt was a prankster, there’s no doubt about it. This thing with Lauber wasn’t a prank. This was, well, as a lawyer, it was an assault. It was an assault and a battery. And I’m sure that John Lauber carried it with him for the rest of his life.”
Seared into his memory. So you tell me. Suppressed memory syndrome? Money changing hands? There are two Phillip Maxwells?
Incidentally, the kind of thing you're seeing now is practically Axelrod's "signature move." It's how he won two early elections for Obama: by destroying the opponents with personal attacks.
