What program?

The US used to have laws, might still, which protected American industries from competition from foreign products which were government subsidized. Steel, for instance, from Japan. The Japanese subsidized the steel industry, which sold products in the US competing with domestic goods.

Unfair competition was touted to the heavens.

Now, the US government subsidized farm products to the hilt. And those products are sold in Africa, Mexico, around the world, undercutting domestic production.

Now, another way to "cut taxes" is to give money as subsidies. And that's the real agriculture "gusher" from GWB.

They'll figure out more ways to loot the government, too. Don't worry. Spending money like mad, and borrowing like madder, for instance.

Arf (doesn't anyone believe they are doing OK in a fair system? Besides me?)
